Through abstraction, Jane Callister investigates the fusion of the bodily and mental act of creating art. In contrast, larger, specially manufactured paint brushes are used in more expressive works, exaggerating each stroke of brilliant colour for an energetic eruption. She has synesthesia, the capacity to see colour audibly. Each mark makes a different sounds for the painter, combining to form a harmony.
